How The Shidduch Exchange Works — For Shadchanim

Click Shadchan Sign Up / Log In on the home page. Your account is both a shadchan account and a regular user account — one login, two portals.

After verifying your email, you will have access to both the User Portal (for your own children if applicable) and the Shadchan Portal. Switch between them using the toggle in the top navigation.

Your rank is displayed as a colored badge throughout the platform and is visible to families when reviewing your payout claims.

• NEW (gray): Starting rank for all new shadchanim.
• SILVER (silver): Earned by making 3+ main shidduchim in the past 12 months, or by admin verification.
• GOLD (gold): 20+ total main shidduchim.
• DIAMOND (blue): 50+ total main shidduchim.
• PLATINUM (purple): 200+ total main shidduchim.

Ranks are recalculated daily. Verified status unlocks access to reserves marked "Verified Only."

Use the search bar in the Shadchan Portal to find candidates by name, parent name, address, or phone number.

For each result you will see:

• Net available amount: Total visible reserves minus any pending refund amounts.
• Pending refund note: If there is a pending refund, you will see the amount and days remaining.
• Hidden reserves: If there are reserves you cannot see yet, you will see a note about requesting access.

You will never see candidates sorted or filtered by amount — this is by design to maintain fairness.

Click the bell icon on any search result to add that child to your watch list. You will receive notifications whenever:

• A new reserve is added or modified
• A refund is requested or canceled
• An engagement is reported or reverted

Notifications are delivered by email, SMS, or phone call based on your communication preference settings.

When a parent confirms their child is engaged, a 14-day claim window opens. You must visit the Shadchan Portal and click Claim Payout during this window.

After the window closes:

• The parent allocates the reserve among all claiming shadchanim.
• An admin reviews and approves the disbursement.
• You receive your payout minus the 15% platform fee.
• Your rank is recalculated based on your new total.

The Ideas CRM helps you track potential matches. Create an idea with:

• Boy and girl names (optionally linked to platform profiles)
• Status: To Research, To Contact, In Progress, Not Interesting, Done/Engaged
• Next Contact Date — you will receive a reminder when the date arrives
• Notes for your own reference

View your ideas in list or kanban board format, filtered by status.

Have an idea to improve the platform? Submit it in the Feature Suggestions section. Other shadchanim can upvote your ideas, and the admin team reviews all suggestions.

Each suggestion shows its admin review status: Pending, Reviewed, Planned, or Dismissed.
